Library Gallery features paintings by Lily Chang

artThe Lynnwood Library features the art of Lily Change through May 23.

Chang’s art is her interpretation of traditional Chinese Buddha portrait painting and Chinese elaborate-style painting combined with Western art to create her own new style that focuses on Chinese antique art. Chang is proficient in many mediums with this exhibit featuring intricate drawings utilizing glue tempura on silk and on rice paper, as well as calligraphy.

A selection of Chinese boxes is also shown. Originally from Taipei, Chang now resides in Everett where she opened a studio in 2012 to focus full time on her art and teaching others.

The exhibit is free to the public. The Lynnwood Library Gallery showcases local and regional artists on both the amateur and professional level.

Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., Friday froThe Library is closed on national holidays.
