With U.S. presidential candidate Bernie Sanders coming to the Seattle area this Sunday, local supporters of Sanders have announced they are holding a canvassing event Saturday at the Edmonds Education Association building, 19707 64th Ave. W., in Lynnwood.
The canvassing event will be led by State Sen. Maralyn Chase (D-32nd District), who represents both Edmonds and Lynnwood.
The event will start at 3 p.m. and volunteers will arrive to canvass and phone bank ahead of the Democratic presidential caucuses on Saturday, March 26.
Light refreshments will be available at the Lynnwood offices for the Saturday event. The event is not sponsored by the Edmonds Education Association.
Sanders will appear at a free rally Sunday at Seattle’s Key Area, with the doors opening at 2 p.m.
