Local community responds with support after Dallas shooting

Community members responded to the violence in Dallas that killed five police officers Thursday night, offering support and thanks for local police officers.

Throughout the day Friday, neighbors brought treats, cards and flowers for officers, thanking them for their work.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with (Dallas police) officers and their families in the wake of this terrible tragedy,” the Lynnwood Police Department tweeted on Friday.

The flag outside the Lynnwood Police Department was flown at half staff on Friday.
