School nurse Julie Hill was named the May Educator of the Month by the Alderwood-Terrace Rotary Club. Hill serves as the school nurse at four Edmonds School District schools, Mountlake Terrace High School and Mountlake Terrace, Lynndale and Hazelwood Elementary Schools.

Mountlake Terrace Elementary School Principal Doug Johnson had high praise for Hill. “She is a highly professional and essential member of our special education team to ensure the academic success of our most struggling students,” Johnson said.

“With the crazy schedule she must have, you would think that Julie’s involvement in the lives of our students would be minimal. Quite the contrary; Julie is an extremely involved educator in our school who has a huge positive impact on our students and families,” Johnson added.
