Lynn Sordel, Lynnwood’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, will be moving on to the November General Election as he seeks to retain his seat on the Mill Creek City Council.
Sordel was appointed to Position No. 1 in November 2012. Friday’s results have Boeing Engineer Sean Kelly leading the race with 42 percent (1,229 votes), while Sordel had 40 percent (1,174 votes). Herbie Martin has 15 percent (434 votes).
The next set of results will be Monday, Aug. 19. The primary will be certified on Aug. 20.
