The Lynnwood Police Department Citizens Patrol is now 46 members strong after welcoming the following 11 new members: Adam Lehr, Christin Morris, Delwin Inness, Elena Ortiz, Jacquelyn Parrish, Kevin Lo, Lacey Sauvageau, Marria Fandych, Ramiro Fernadez, Rich Lawson and Shawnalyn Schiller.
These new members completed 522 hours of specialized training provided during the Citizens Patrol Training Academy. Most of these new members also attended the 13-week Citizens Academy that Lynnwood Police Department held earlier this year and were in fact selected from this Academy which was attended by more than 65 citizens.
Of these new members, everyone from the new class holds a Limited Commission to write disabled parking citations. In addition, Citizens Patrol provides numerous services to the department, some of which include: directing traffic, opening locked car doors, providing bike patrol for the city, transports, and helping with weather-related and crime scene emergencies.
