The Lynnwood City Council will be discussing the city’s fireworks policy at a work session scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18.
This is the second discussion by the council on the matter. The Lynnwood Police and Fire Chiefs have been invited to share their perspective on the current ordinance. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. with the fireworks discussion set for 7:35 p.m.
Policy questions the council are considering include:
- Maintain the status quo, no changes.
- Make revisions in the ordinance.
- Conduct another citizen survey. If so, what form should it take?
- Repeal the use of all fireworks in the City going forward.
