Lynnwood Community Band to play at Concert at the Locks on Saturday, Aug. 24

band_logoThe Lynnwood Community Band will be playing at 2 p.m, Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Concert at the Locks, which will be at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks/Lake Washington Ship Canal in Ballard.

Admission to the 24th annual summer concert series is free.

The Lynnwood Community Band is a non-profit community band made up of adults and teens from around Snohomish County. The bank plays in concerts and special events in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Everett, Mukilteo and Brier. Music played includes classical and popular and big-band tunes.

The Lynnwood Community Band is always seeking performers with a love of music – people who want to bring music to the community. There is no fee for joining, there are no dues, and there are no auditions. If you play an instrument and have a love of public performance,attend a rehearsal. The band rehearses most Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd St. SE, Mill Creek.Bring a music stand and instrument.
