Lynnwood company investigated for dumping paint into storm drains

KING 5 News is reporting that the city is investigating a Lynnwood company for illegal dumping.

Environix, a mold remediation company, was accused of dumping paint into storm drains that lead to Hall Lake between Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace.

According to KING 5, the city does not expect to levy any fines because they found the company had corrected the problem and are cooperating with the continuing investigation. The president of the company admits his workers were dumping the paint without his knowledge and says he’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.

  1. This company is unbelievable! I've seen this facility, it's not very big, and I just simply don't believe that the owner didn't know this was happening. And from what I can see the mess was cleaned up much more recently than the six months ago that Mallory claims. Everyone in the community is in an uproar, and it's appalling that the city is giving them less than a slap on the wrist. These people were obviously trying to cut costs and making the community pay the price! Now they're trying to cover it up and act all surprised that this was happening. Environix is an appropriate name: Nixing out the environment one storm drain at a time.
