City honors Lynnwood couple for historic preservation

The city presented a certificate of recognition to residents Dan and Linda Hudson at the June 10 city council meeting.

The Hudsons, owners of a house in the 5000 block of 192nd Street SW. were honored for making significant contribution to historic preservation in the city.

One of the annual tasks of the historical commission is to recognize individuals who make outstanding contributions to local historical preservation, said Gloria Rivera, Historical Commission staff liaison. Rivera noted that the house was representative of the type of construction during the demonstration farm of the 1930s. The house is featured in the city’s walking tour brochure.
