Dick’s Drive-In might be coming to Lynnwood.
Councilman Jim Smith revealed the news at a city council meeting last week. He made the comments while discussing the potential police cuts and the negative effect it would have on the business climate here.
“We will not attract businesses to Lynnwood if Lynnwood is deteriorating in their police force and crime goes up. Businesses aren’t going to come here. Residents aren’t going to come here if Lynnwood becomes more gang or crime oriented,” he said. “I’ll end on one very positive note, though. I think this is important for everyone to know. There’s a good possibility, a real good possibility, that Dick’s restaurant is coming to Lynnwood. I found that out today. They’re looking.”
We couldn’t get any confirmation from Dick’s. When reached by phone yesterday a company spokesperson would neither confirm nor deny the news.
Right now the legendary local burger chain only has restaurants in Seattle.

The final announcement comes today at 5:45 on KIRO's the Ron and Don show… is it Lynnwood? I sure hope so, but we will see!
