The Lynnwood High School Royal Robotics team recently competed in the First World Championships in St. Louis, Mo.

Royal Robotics participated in the First Robotics Competition (FRC), which started with 608 teams divided into eight divisions. The Royals played 10 qualifying matches in the Newton Division with 75 other teams. After the qualifying matches, they were ranked 19th. The top eight ranked teams became Alliance Captains and choose other teams to join their alliance for playoffs. Unfortunately, Lynnwood was not chosen to be on one of these Alliances.

Team members were able to learn more about robot design, game play, explore college and university options for robotics students and make contact with companies that showcase newly developing technologies.
