Lynnwood High School’s Students of the Month for September

Brian Anthony and Tara Chin have been named the Lynnwood High School Students of the Month for September by the Edmonds School District.

GPA: 3.845 combined LHS and EDCC running start

Clubs & Activities: I was a LINK leader junior and senior year and am currently a member of DECA, Key Club and National Honor Society.

Athletics: I played varsity golf my junior year and plan to do the same this year.

Honors: DECA Student of the Month; varsity golf Most Improved.

Community Service: Through DECA I have done numerous Junior Achievement activities, such as teaching elementary school children about the basics of economics and helping at big charity auctions for Junior Achievement. I also participated in the PATH (Big Brother/Big Sister) program, where I met with a freshman once a week just to make sure he was focused and had an upper classman to talk to and make sure he was keeping on his way to college success.

Future Educational Goals: I am going to a university right after high school, where I am planning on majoring in biology, then moving on to medical school.

Future Career Goals: All I know is I want to pursue something in the medical field because I want to work face-to-face with others and do my best to make their lives better.
