Lynnwood Library to host Candidates’ debate on Oct. 8

Candidates for state, national and county offices will share their perspectives at library forums in Lynnwood and Mukilteo, sponsored by the Snohomish County League of Women Voters.

At the Lynnwood Library, the forum will held Oct. 8 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. The candidates scheduled to attend are:

  • Rep. Jim McDermott and Craig Keller, his opponent in Congressional District 7;
  • District 1 representative candidate Luis Moscoso (but not opponent Rep. Edward Barton)
  • Sen. Maralyn Chase and her District 32 opponent Robert Reedy;
  • Rep. Cindy Ru, running unopposed in District 32;
  • Rep. Ruth Kagi and her District 32 opponent Alvin Rutledge;
  • Snohomish County Executive John Lovick (but not opponent Carolyn Eslick)

 

At the Mukilteo Library, the candidate forum will be held Oct. 9 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Candidates scheduled to attend are:

  • Sen. Marko Liias and his Legislative District 21 opponent Dan Matthews
  • Allen McPheeters and Strom Peterson, state representative candidates for District 21, Position 1
  • Rep. Lillian Ortiz-Self and Jeff Scherrer, her opponent for District 21, Position 2
  • Snohomish County Executive John Lovick (but not opponent Carolyn Eslick)
  • Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary and his opponent, Jim Upton
