Lynnwood Lifestyles: South County bike rides, Easter Bunny alert, MidiCi Pizza happy hour

Get fit this season with Bike2Health’s South County Rides
April – September 2019

Bike2Health, a project funded by the Verdant Health Commission, is kicking off this season by offering free rides to locals in Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood and Edmonds. Residents living in these cites can join the Cascade Bicycle Club for family-friendly bike rides perfect for beginners and advanced riders alike.

All spring and summer long, Cascade’s education staff will guide these rides and also provide basic bike handling tips, route navigation and group etiquette pointers.

Participants don’t need to worry about adhering to strenuous pacing either. These leisurely rides take place on flat terrain, and are kept short. Trails used are unprotected biking trails or otherwise low-traffic streets with frequent stops.

If you’d like to join in the fun, bring a helmet with you. All participants are expected to have basic bike handling skills, or at the very least a balance bike.

Participants can’t be younger than 6 years of age, nor use a bike with training wheels.

Registration for Bike2Health South County Rides is now open, and limited to 12 participants per event. For dates and registration information, visit cascade.org/node/43910.

Treat Yourself to some MidiCi Pizza during happy hour
Monday through Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. till close

Enjoy MidiCi pizza during happy hour.

Nothing quite says spring and summer like pizza, drinks and possibly some garlic bread. Lucky for Lynnwood locals there’s MidiCi, the Neapolitan Pizza Company.

Located in Alderwood Mall, this pizzeria is the hot spot if you’re looking for a budget gourmet meal. Their ongoing weekly promotion spoils anyone coming in between 2 and 5 p.m., or 8 p.m. to close on weekdays. It features discounts on cool, refreshing drinks, wood-fired pizza and signature appetizers.

Enjoy beverages and garlic bread during MidiCi’s weekday happy hour.

Everything on their menu is made with fresh, quality ingredients — and mostly non-GMO. Their gluten-free crust alone is made from only four ingredients: non-GMO double zero Neapolitan flour, water, sea salt and yeast.

But foodies don’t need to fear. Despite the more health-conscious approach, MidiCi delivers in both flavor and style in a big way. It will keep customers coming back for more all season long.

For more information about the restaurant, visit their website. Otherwise, drive on down to the mall and pay attention to their happy hour menu details, located right on their courtyard windows.
