Lynnwood man airlifted from Mount Adams after injuring leg

Our online news partner The Seattle Times reports a 55-year-old Lynnwood man is recovering after injuring himself while climbing Mount Adams over the weekend.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office said the climber was flown by helicopter to a Vancouver hospital Sunday afternoon with a possible broken leg.

He was climbing on the south side of the 12,277-foot peak in southwest Washington.
