Lynnwood man arrested for Banner Bank robbery

my newsThe Edmonds Police Department and Mill Creek Police Department arrested a 37-year old Lynnwood man, who is believed to be responsible for robbing a bank within each jurisdiction.

The suspect was arrested Thursday morning. The first bank robbery occurred on April 1 at the Union Bank in Mill Creek. The second robbery occurred on May 13 at the Banner Bank in Edmonds.

Police investigators were led to the suspect by an anonymous tip submitted to Crime Stoppers. When investigators followed up on that information, they were able to positively identify the suspect and develop further leads which led to his arrest.

The arrest occurred outside his residence in the 16400 block of the Alderwood Mall Parkway. He was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle that was believed to have been used in both crimes was located and impounded pending further investigation.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on two counts of First Degree Robbery (Edmonds/Mill Creek). Detectives are still actively investigating at this time.
