Lynnwood man injured after falling from vehicle Saturday

A Lynnwood man was injured Saturday after falling from a moving vehicle.

The incident began as a disturbance on Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m. in the 15100 block of Cascadian Way, near Martha Lake in unincorporated Snohomish County. A disturbance was reported between a man and his teenage son.

“At some point during the disturbance a 20-year-old male acquaintance of the son arrived at the residence, presumably to give the son a ride,” said Snohomish County Sherriff’s Lt. Todd Swenson. “For reasons still under investigation the Lynnwood man jumped onto the acquaintance’s car and he drove off with the Lynnwood man still on the vehicle.”

The man eventually fell from the vehicle and sustained a leg injury. The ma was taken to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries.

“The teenage son was not in the car at the time and remained at the scene. The driver initially fled the scene but later returned and is cooperating with investigators,” Swenson said.

The injured man was treated by Fire District 1 personnel and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
