A 64-year-old man from Lynnwood was one of two people killed in a collision on Highway 9 in Arlington last night.
It happened about 9 p.m. just north of the Stillaguamish River Bridge.
A Chevy Cobalt driven by a 31-year-old man crossed the center lane and crashed head-on into James Arneson’s Cadillac. Medics rushed him to the hospital but he died a short time later. His son, 38-year-old Thory Arneson of Lynnwood, was injured but survived the crash.
The Chevy driver died later at Harborview. The State Patrol says the road was wet at the time and speed appears to have been a factor.
