A 42-year-old Lynnwood man was killed during a fight in the 3000 block of 164th St. SW. Friday night.

Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the homicide scene after a call came in around 11:30 p.m. The bleeding 42 year-old man died at the scene. Investigators believe the victim had been fighting with another unidentified male, who injured the victim with what is believed to be a knife.

The suspect fled the scene and, after an extensive search of the area, is believed to be in a nearby apartment, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. Deputies have the scene secured while detectives obtain a search warrant for both the residence where they believe the suspect is located, as well as the crime scene.  No weapon has been recovered.  The two men were known to each other.
