Lynnwood man shot by Snohomish County deputies had violent history, documents say

MyNNNThe man shot by Snohomish County deputies Wednesday evening had been charged with malicious mischief and ordered to surrender his firearms after he allegedly drove his truck into his estranged wife’s garage last year, court documents say.

Our news partner, the Seattle Times, is reporting that the man’s name was not released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday, but property and court records indicate he was 46-year-old Matthew Scott Wiese, of Lynnwood.

Wiese lived with his parents at their home in the 15200 block of Meadow Road near Martha Lake, according to court documents. An older man at the home said he did not want to talk about the shooting.
