In 2011, the Lynnwood Permit Center reduced operating hours for the public due to recession-related budget cuts and a reduction of staff. The Permit Center was closed to the public on Fridays and from 12:00-1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The Community Development Department recently filled three positions in the Permit Center as proposed by the Mayor and approved by City Council as part of the Fiscal Year 2013-14 budget.
“The expanded hours of operation will serve our customers as development activity recovers from the great recession,” said Paul Krauss, Community Development Director.
Located at 4114 198th St. SW, Suite 7 in Lynnwood, the Permit Center offers one convenient location for services from Community Development (Building and Land Use Planning), the Office of Economic Development, the Fire Marshall’s Office, and Public Works.
