Lynnwood Police assist in response to Snohomish County Courthouse break-in

Lynnwood-police-patchLynnwood Police were among the responding agencies to an incident in which an armed intruder broke into the Snohomish County Courthouse Sunday morning in Everett.

A 25-year man from Everett was located in the 1500 block of 38th Street in Everett at about 11:15 a.m. and was placed into custody. A knife was located near him when he was arrested.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit is investigating the incident with the assistance of Everett Police Department Detectives. The Washington State Patrol and Lynnwood Police Department also responded to the incident and assisted in the search and evacuation of the courthouse.

The courthouse was evacuated after Sheriff’s Office employees saw a man armed with a knife and crowbar around 9 a.m.
