An assault was reported in the 6000 block of 168th Street Southwest.

A shoplifter was reported in the 3000 block of 184th Street Southwest. $299.99 worth of merchandise was stolen. The suspect was not located.

A purse and a pair of boots were found in the roadway near Maple Road and Spruce Way. The owner was identified by the driver’s license in the purse. She was contacted and said she would pick it up later.

April 15
A nuisance dog was reported in the 7400 block of 201st Place Southwest. A neighbor said the dog often barks excessively and often untimely. The neighbor had reported the dog several times before and wanted to start a formal complaint. The dog’s owner was contacted and the dog did not stop barking while the officer made the contact. The officer told the owner about training and bark collars as options to correct the behavior, and was told that two neighbors were prepared to sign a complaint that would result in a fine, which would cost more than dog classes or a bark collar. She thanked the officer for the information and stated she understood the situation.

A shoplifter was reported in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest. The suspect was allegedly in a fight with loss prevention. When the suspect left the store, loss prevention contacted him and he said he didn’t do anything, dropped a bag full of merchandise and pushed the loss prevention employee. $99.27 of merchandise was recovered. Security footage of the theft was entered into evidence.

A shoplifter was reported in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest. The suspect took shoes out of a box, put them in her purse and put the empty box back on the shelf. She then took pliers from a different department in the store and used them to remove the security tag off of the shoes. She was contacted, issued a criminal citation and released from the Lynnwood jail.

April 16
A K-9 unit assisted officers in Mountlake Terrace with an armed robbery, in the 21200 block of 44th Avenue West. The dog was unable to find the suspect.

LPD assisted the Washington State Patrol with a rollover crash on I-5 near 195th Street Southwest.

An assault was reported near the intersection of 176th Street Southwest and 44th Avenue West. After a road rage incident, the victim said a box truck driver tried to stab him with a knife. He told officers he was shaken but unhurt.

April 17
An armed robbery was reported in the 3300 block of 184th Street Southwest. The victim said he contacted the suspects on Craigslist to try to sell them some of his girlfriend’s cosmetics. The victim said the suspects took his phone at gunpoint, then demanded he get into their vehicle. He did, and they took $1,500 of his rent money out of his sweatshirt pocket. The victim remembered the suspects’ license plate number, and officers were able to contact the suspects at the listed address. A gun was found in plain view on the front passenger floorboard of the suspects’ vehicle. Three suspects were arrested.

A suspicious circumstance was reported in the 5600 block of Hall Lake Way. The reporting party said his neighbor had not lived in the neighborhood for about a year, but he noticed the door to his neighbor’s house had been forced open recently. Officers photographed the broken door and open window and entered the photos in to evidence.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 17000 block of Highway 99. Surveillance video of the theft was available, but no distinguishing characteristics of the suspects are visible.

A theft was reported in the 16600 block of 48th Avenue West. License plates were stolen off of a vehicle.

April 18
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 6204 block of 189th Place Southwest.

A man came to the Lynnwood Police Department to report a stolen bank card. The victim said he thought it was taken from inside his residence, but he cannot be sure. Fraudulent charges had been made on his card totaling $108.45.

A man came to the Lynnwood Police Department to report a stolen wallet. He said he left the wallet down near a computer in the library. When he returned to the library, it was gone. He had not notified his banks yet of the stolen wallet, containing several credit and debit cards. Officers told him to report the stolen cards and to let police know about any fraudulent charges.

A shoplift in progress was reported in the 18300 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. $180.95 worth of merchandise was stolen, including clothes and video games. The suspect also had a pair of needle nose pliers in her purse. She said she took the clothes because her father is sick and she is taking care of her family. She took the video games for her boyfriend, who she said could not steal them because he “doesn’t have a purse.” She was booked for theft with extenuating circumstances.

A juvenile runaway was reported in the 20300 block of 52nd Avenue West.

April 19
A driver was pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign in the 16800 block of Highway 99. He did not have a license and said he was from out of the country and his passport had been recently stolen. He did not have the registration or insurance for the vehicle. A passenger in the back handed the title of the vehicle over to the officer and said it was her car. The driver was arrested for driving without a license.

A man was arrested at Alderwood Mall for shoplifting. A yellow “SLOW” sign was taken from a nearby gas station. The sign was returned and the suspect was arrested.
