Lynnwood Police Blotter: April 14-20, 2019

April 14

4900 block 196th Street Southwest: A man reported someone stole the license plate from his vehicle while it was parked in the Arby’s parking lot.

4500 block 176th Street Southwest: Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman at Hidden Grove Apartments. Neighbors reported hearing the female mention a knife, but no incident involving a knife was reported when police arrived.

6200 block 200th Street Southwest: A juvenile male was arrested for stealing a bike. When police apprehended the minor, they found a substance they suspected was methamphetamine.

19500 block 44th Avenue West: A woman was arrested for domestic assault after she and her boyfriend reportedly got into an argument outside of Pub 44. Both parties were reported to have been drinking.

19300 block 44th Avenue West: A man turned himself into Lynnwood police for a warrant.

April 15

20400 block Highway 99: A man was arrested during a traffic stop for driving with a suspended license. He was initially stopped by police for driving recklessly.

19400 block 73rd Place West: A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him for matching the description of a man attempting to open the doors of parked vehicles.

5200 block 180th Street Southwest: A man reported someone prowled multiple vehicles parked at a local business. The male suspect was seen on video surveillance going through the vehicles and a Garmin GPS valued at $100 was reported stolen.

18500 33rd Avenue West: An employee of Sushiland reported someone stole $1,400 in cash from the safe overnight. The door to the manager’s office was damaged, but the safe did not appear to be damaged from being broken into. There were no signs of forced entry at the restaurant’s entrances.

3700 block 196th Street Southwest: A man who lives at City Center Apartments reported someone stole his phone, debit card and  multiple forms of ID from his wallet. He then became hysterical and locked himself in one of the building’s elevators. When the fire department was able to access the elevator, the man calmed down and became more cooperative with police. His phone was found and turned into the building’s front desk.

21600 block Highway 99: A man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police received reports he and a woman were doing drugs in a parked vehicle. Police found no drugs, but did find hypodermic needles.

April 16

4500 block 200th Street Southwest: Two females — one minor — were arrested for robbing a 7-Eleven. The females were reported to have been physical with the store clerk, scratching his neck, while stealing cigarettes and cigars. The minor was transported to Denney Youth Center.

20700 block Highway 99: A man was trespassed from the Rodeo Inn motel and arrested for possession of a controlled substance when police found 0.6 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

6000 block 208th Street Southwest: A man who works as a yard maintenance worker at Douglas Apartments reported someone stole his STHIL backpack leaf blower.

7500 block 196th Street Southwest: A woman reported a man intentionally grabbed her rear before her shift at QFC.

17500 block Highway 99: A man was arrested for causing a disturbance at McDonalds. He was reported to have been yelling, throwing things and flipping chairs.

19400 block 36th Avenue West: A 20-year-old man was arrested for minor in possession of marijuana after police found him and two other males smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle. The man had 3.84 grams of marijuana in his possession at the time.

April 17

20100 block 68th Avenue West: A man reported he was assaulted in the Edmonds Community College parking lot by a man during an argument. The suspect closed the door on the victim’s ankle three times, resulting in a minor injury. The suspect was arrested and reported to be agitated and have mental health issues. He was  transported to the hospital for a mental health assessment.

18600 block 33rd Avenue West: A woman was arrested for theft after she shoplifted $149.17 in clothing from J.C. Penney.

2800 block 196th Street Southwest: A man was reported to have stolen $500 in vitamins from Whole Foods.

3600 block 164th Street Southwest: A woman was arrested during a traffic stop for driving with a suspended license.

18400 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man was arrested for shoplifting $393.32 in merchandise from Kohl’s.

6700 block 204th Street Southwest: Three individuals — a woman and two men — were arrested for malicious mischief after they were reported to be attempting to spray paint a fence at Parkwood Condos. The woman reported the two men were attempting to paint over a rival gang’s previous painting. One of the men was reported to be intoxicated and resisted arrest.

April 18

19300 block 44th Avenue West: A man was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant.

2900 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: Police responded to reports of seven individuals fighting in the parking lot of Macy’s. One suspect was reported to have a bat, but no one was reported injured. A juvenile male was arrested for a Seattle warrant and transported to Denney Youth Center.

19300 block 44th Avenue West: Police responded to a cold-assault call at FedEx where a woman pulled the hair of a female employee on April 12. The employee did not report any severe injuries.

17200 block 58th Avenue West: A woman reported a case of fraud after someone posing as a Sprint representative stole her personal information to charge a new cell phone and phone line to her account.

19300 block 44th Avenue West: Police found drug paraphernalia on a man who had been turned over to police by a bail bond agent.

3000 block 184th Street Southwest: A juvenile male reported a robbery outside of Victoria’s Secret after three other juvenile males — one of whom he knew from school — stole a necklace from him by snatching it off of his neck. The three suspects left before police arrived.

April 19

16700 block Graystone Drive: A woman reported damage done to her garage door, leaving it inoperable. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

4600 block 196th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for shoplifting $486.39 in merchandise from Fred Meyer. While searching the man, police found drug paraphernalia.

200th Street Southwest/Highway 99: A man was trespassed from Gentle Dental after he was reported to be drinking alcohol in public.

17000 block Highway 99: A Volvo CX60 was reported stolen from the Volvo dealership. It was last seen on April 15.

18500 block 36th Avenue West: A woman reported a case of fraud after a car loan she did not approve was taken out in her name.

5800 block 207th Place Southwest: Police responded to a domestic disturbance after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend was verbally harassing her.

April 20

19600 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man reported someone stole his backpack leaf blower which he left outside the restroom at Union 76 gas station. The leaf blower was valued at $800.

2800 block 196th Street Southwest: A man was reported to have stolen $1,482.80 worth of merchandise from Whole Foods.

4100 block 196th Street Southwest: A man reported a theft after he sent money to a woman he met online. The woman was supposed to use the money to purchase an airplane ticket to fly to Lynnwood for Easter weekend, but the ticket was never purchased. He reported sending $715 for the ticket and has sent $300 in gift cards to her.

18700 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man reported his vehicle was stolen from the Alderwood Mall parking lot near Macy’s.

3000 block 184th Street Southwest: A woman was arrested for stealing 27 bottles of fragrances valued at $3.604.51 from Sephora.

18300 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A woman reported her phone and phone case containing her driver’s license, bank/credit cards and health insurance information were stolen off of a table at the Starbucks in Target. Video surveillance saw another woman grab the phone.

18600 block 33rd Avenue West: A woman was arrested for possession of stolen property after a man she was with attempted to use a stolen credit card to purchase items at J.C Penney. The man had left the store by the time police arrived. Police found a wallet containing multiple stolen credit cards and checks in her purse as well as 0.77 grams of heroin and other drug paraphernalia.
