Lynnwood police blotter: April 4-10

April 4
A shoplifter was reported in the 18400 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. Merchandise valued at $323.99 was stolen and recovered. The suspect was arrested.

A domestic disturbance was reported int he 5800 block of 200th Street Southwest. After an argument between a husband and wife, the wife destroyed some of the husband’s clothes. She denied destroying the clothes and said he must have done it himself. She was arrested.

April 5
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 16600 block of 48th Avenue West.

A vehicle stolen from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction was found in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest.

Three vehicle prowls were reported in the 19400 block of Highway 99. One vehicle had a battery stolen. The other two vehicles had their hoods up. One still had its battery and the third did not have a battery prior to the vehicle prowl. The first vehicle had a broken window. The other two did not appear to have any damage.

A burglary was reported in the 18400 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. An alarm was triggered after a window was broken. It was unclear if anything was taken.

April 6
A suspicious circumstance is reported in the 3100 block of Alderwood Mall Boulevard. A customer was concerned about a camera inside the fitting rooms of a store there. An officer responded and determined the camera was a security camera for the store and it was not pointing toward the changing area, but toward the cash register.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 5300 block of 170th Place Southwest.

April 7
An incident of malicious mischief was reported in the 5000 block of 186th Place Southwest. Tires had been slashed on a vehicle parked in the area. The vehicle had also been egged and scratched. Damages are estimated between $1,200 and $2,000.

A two-vehicle hit-and-run collision was reported in the 3300 block of 188th Street Southwest.

A domestic assault was reported inside a store in the 17200 block of Highway 99. A woman reported her ex-boyfriend was pulling her hair. Surveillance video has been requested and charges are pending review of that video.

April 8
A theft was reported in the 6100 block of 200th Street Southwest. An employee said her bag had been left inside an office, and when she returned, items had been taken from inside, including a cell phone. The victim traced the phone and found the suspect. She called police again who arrested the suspect.

A subject with a warrant turned themselves into the Lynnwood police department. He was booked.

A dog bite was reported in the 19700 block of 50th Avenue West. The victim was walking past a neighbor who had her two dogs with her. One of the dogs, a 12-year-old herding breed, bit the victim’s hand. The victim said she doesn’t think the dog was being aggressive but was just startled. The victim just requested a report be taken. The owner said the dog does not have a history of aggression.

April 9
A physical domestic assault was reported in the 4900 block of 200th Street Southwest.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 18100 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. A laptop was taken from a vehicle sometime in the previous three days. The victim estimated the laptop’s value at $5,000.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 18300 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. No items were taken, but the center console had been rifled through.

An officer was dispatched to the 18600 block of 68th Avenue West to recover three shotguns and ammunition to be destroyed.

April 10
A suspicious circumstance was reported in the 19900 block of Highway 99. A store employee reported a confrontation involving a knife in the drive-thru. The suspect had fled before officers arrived, but officers spoke to the victim, who was not injured. A search for the suspect was conducted but he was not located.

An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 6700 block fo 200th Street Southwest. It was parked illegally in front of mail boxes and near a fire hydrant. It was towed. Shortly after it was towed, the owner called 911 to report her vehicle stolen. She was given the impound information.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 4600 block of 200th Street Southwest. A rear passenger window was broken out and several items, including a laptop, three Chromebooks and several adapters and connecting wires were taken, valued at a total of at least $1,635.
