Lynnwood Police Blotter: April 7-13, 2019

April 7

19500 block Highway 99: Someone damaged the front door of a vacant business by breaking the door’s window.

4900 block 200th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for punching his ex-girlfriend in the face after she asked him to leave the apartment.

3600 block 196th Street Southwest: A man reported his vehicle — a Honda CR-V —  was stolen from the FedEx parking lot.

4700 block 200th Street Southwest: A man reported his vehicle had been prowled in the Collins Junction apartment complex parking lot. He reported multiple items valued at $165 were stolen. No damage was reported to the vehicle and he said the passenger-side door might have been left unlocked.

18400 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man and woman were arrested for shoplifting multiple items from Kohl’s, valued at $475. Store employees reported the woman was carrying pepper spray in her hand as she walked out the front door. Police searched the woman’s vehicle and found 0.99 grams of heroin and other drug paraphernalia.

20800 block Highway 99: A man was arrested for a DUI after hitting another vehicle while attempting to change lanes. The victim’s vehicle was hit on the front passenger side. The suspect made no effort to stop and was later stopped by police, who found empty beer cans in his vehicle. No one was reported injured.

April 8

20200 block 46th Avenue West: A man was arrested for a DUI after police responded to reports that the man was prowling the vehicle, which turned out to belong to his mother.

4000 block 196th Street Southwest: A man was arrested in the Starbucks parking lot for multiple drug-related charges. Starbucks employees said the man was dancing around the parking lot with his pants down. The man said he had not slept in several days and admitted to having recently done drugs. Police reported finding 4.76 grams of methamphetamine as well other drug paraphernalia in his possession.

19700 block 50th Avenue West: A woman reported her vehicle — a 1994 Jeep Cherokee — was stolen overnight. The vehicle was parked at her residence at the time of the theft.

4000 block 198th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for shoplifting from Goodwill. The man was reported to have stolen a DVD player and MP3 player. Police also found drug paraphernalia in his possession.

18400 block 33rd Avenue West: Someone vandalized a vehicle belonging to the U.S. Army Recruiting Center. There were two 6-inch scratches on the front fender and paint on the rear window.

6000 block 168th Street Southwest: A woman reported someone wrote multiple forged checks amounting to $3,835 in her name. She reported her vehicle had been prowled in March, but at the time believed only a backpack and a trash bag of clothing she had intended to donate were stolen.

April 9

4900 block 168th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for assault after witnesses reported seeing the man becoming physical with the mother of his child. The woman also had an injury to her face she said came from him punching her. The man had minor injuries and refused to speak about the incident, because he did not want to get her in trouble.

20300 block 52nd Avenue West: A man was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled substance during a police stop. The man had a fixed-blade knife and methamphetamine in his possession. The man also had multiple credit/debit cards that did not belong to him.

4800 block 176th Street Southwest: A man reported his vehicle had been prowled. No damage was reported to have been done to the vehicle and nothing was reported stolen.

4100 block 196th Street Southwest: A woman was arrested after she left Denny’s without paying for her meal and providing police with a false name. The woman had four warrants for theft, robbery, assault and escaping police custody. Police also found drug paraphernalia while searching her possessions.

19300 block 44th Avenue West: Police found a Lynnwood Jail inmate with a counterfeit $100 bill. He was charged with attempted forgery.

3200 block Alderwood Mall Boulevard: A woman reported her vehicle had been prowled in the Marshall’s parking lot. The front, passenger-side window was reported to have been smashed in and her backpack was stolen. The backpack contained makeup. The door had been pried open and damages to the vehicle were valued at $550.

19700 block Highway 99: Two men were reported to have purchased welding equipment valued at $2,999 with a fraudulent check from Central Welding Supply. The two men were reported to have done the same at three other Central Welding Supply stores.

April 10

3700 block 196th Street Southwest: A man reported a case of fraud after responding to an ad on Craigslist for a motorcycle. He said he was told to pay $1,800 in eBay gift cards and after contacting eBay, he was informed it was a scam.

18500 block 52nd Avenue West: A woman reported a case of fraud after she was contacted by her bank about two charges in the amount of $577 and $800 she did not authorize.

18000 block 44th avenue West: A man reported his tool shed had been broken into and tools had been stolen. A DeWalt chopping saw and two DeWalt drills valued at $449 were reported stolen.

17900 block Ash Way: A man was arrested for assault after he punched a man at a bus stop. Not long before the incident, police received reports of the same man stealing a hotdog from Arco AM/PM and assaulting the store clerk. The man was reported to be intoxicated.

April 11

5600 block 178th Place Southwest: A woman reported her vehicle was stolen after it was left running in the driveway of her residence. The woman reported leaving her phone in the vehicle and police were initially able to track the phone, but eventually lost track.

19300 block 144th Avenue West: A woman reported she believed her vehicle had prowled after she discovered the contents of her vehicle disturbed. The vehicle was still locked when she returned to it. Nothing was reported stolen.

19000 block 64th Avenue West: A man and woman were arrested for multiple drug-related charges after they were discovered in the men’s restroom at Dale Way Park. There was another man with them who was with them and he was trespassed from the park.

19100 block 36th Avenue West: The manager or a Tradesman International Construction reported an employee has been falsifying time cards since 2010 to collect payment for work not completed, in the amount of $12,700.

6200 block Street Southwest: A woman reported her debit card was stolen and someone charged $687.69 to her account.

April 12

20400 block Highway 99: A man was arrested for a DUI after police responded to reports of the man sleeping in his vehicle.

20300 block 52nd Avenue West: A man was arrested for refusing to leave DSHS/CPS after having been previously trespassed. Police found a 750-milliliter bottle of rum in his jacket pocket and drug paraphernalia in his bag.

19200 block block Highway 99: A man left Bucky’s Complete Auto Repair without paying for the services done to his vehicle. The man said the agreed-upon price for services was $900 and his final bill was $1,400, which he refused to pay before leaving. He said he’s going to speak to a lawyer.

18500 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man reported his leather jacket was stolen while he was at work. The man reported his wallet containing debit card, credit cards and $1,000 in cash and other personal items were stolen. He also reported someone charged $102.50 to his debit card. The wallet and jacket were valued at $300.

20700 block Highway 99: A man was arrested for shoplifting candy and a Red Bull from Walgreens. Police found a folding knife in his pocket and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

17200 block Highway 99: Two men were arrested in the Walmart parking lot — one for three misdemeanor warrants and the other for shoplifting groceries. The groceries were valued at $73.40. Police also found drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

April 13

3600 block 164th Street Southwest: A woman was arrested in the parking lot of Manor Market for a misdemeanor drug warrant out of Mill Creek. While searching her vehicle, police found undisclosed amounts of heroin and methamphetamine as well as three prescription-only pills the woman did not have a prescription for.

17700 block Highway 99: A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was reported to be obstructing traffic. The man also provided police with a false name.

18200 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A woman was reported to have shoplifted clothing from Plato’s closet.

3000 block 184th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for shoplifting clothing from J.C. Penney.

18700 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: Three juvenile males were reported to have been shoplifting from Macy’s. One jacket valued at $225 was recovered after police arrested one of the males. While searching the male, police found drug paraphernalia in his pocket.

192200 block Alderwood Mall Parkway: A man was arrested for shoplifting a tablet valued at $110 from Best Buy. Police also recovered cologne and jewelry stolen from Macy’s. Drug paraphernalia was also found in his possession.

5900 block 204th Street Southwest: A man reported someone was using his credit cards after they were reported to be stolen from his vehicle. He reported $658.04 was charged to his credit card, debit card and Best Buy credit card.
