A hit and run was reported in the Edmonds Community College parking lot. A vehicle’s rear bumper was damaged. Estimated $300 damage.

A man was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon. An officer observed the man with a knife with a spring-assisted two-inch blade.

May 14
A theft was reported in the 19800 block of 50th Avenue West. A woman filled out an online report saying someone opened a package delivered to her doorstep and took a brand new teether ring.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 4800 block of 200th Street Southwest.

A woman was arrested for DUI in the 18800 block of Highway 99.

May 15
A sexual assault was reported in the 18200 block of 52nd Avenue West. A man said his wife had been raped one week ago and he suspected a neighbor’s son. The case has been forwarded to the CID unit.

A woman reported the passenger side of her vehicle had been scratched in the 6700 block of 204th Street Southwest and she didn’t know who may have done it.

A theft was reported in the 19900 block of 44th Avenue West. A car wash employee reported someone broke into one of the vacuums. Surveillance footage shows a suspect taking something from the collection bin, but it is unclear what was taken.

A shoplifter was reported in the 2800 block of 196th Street Southwest.

May 16
A vehicle prowl was reported in the 4700 block of 176th Street Southwest. A white iPod, a black iPod and a GPS were all missing.

A burglary was reported in the 18600 block of 76th Avenue West. A new gas furnace, still in the box, was taken.

A shoplifter was reported in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest. A man returned merchandise he did not purchase for $29.99.

A shoplifter was reported in the 18600 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. $129.99 worth of merchandise was recovered.

May 17
A theft in progress was reported in the 19800 block of 44th Avenue West. A shoplifter was seen cutting open packages containing electronics and concealing the contents. He was contacted by security and eventually brought to the Lynnwood Jail, where he was booked on theft charges.

A man with a gun was reported in a parking lot at Edmonds Community College. The man was located and cooperated with police. He said he did bring a gun to the school. He said he was a firearms instructor and liked to make sure it was clean before stowing it. He removed it from his vehicle to make sure it was clear of ammunition. It was properly secured in his vehicle in a locked box and secured with a cable so the box cannot be removed from the vehicle. He did not bring it into the school.

A fraud incident was reported in the 3400 block of 188th Street Southwest. A man said one of his account managers received a request to mail a $489,000 check to the CEO of a company. The account manager looked at the email account making the request and noticed it was a fake email.

May 18
An abandoned vehicle was towed from the 5700 block of 204th Street Southwest. It appeared to have not been moved for a long time, had a license plate that belonged to a different vehicle and had expired nearly two years ago.

An animal complaint was reported in the 18400 block of 48th Avenue West. The caller explained two dogs were running in and out of traffic on the road. The dogs were reportedly friendly but would not let anyone approach. An animal control officer was able to leash one of the dogs right away. The other dog ran away at first but was located and leashed. Both were friendly. They were not tagged, but were microchipped. They were returned home, where the fence was open. The owner was issued an infraction for not having the dogs licensed.

A mailbox was broken open in the 4500 block of 176th Street Southwest.

A vehicle was stolen from the 19100 block of Highway 99.
