The Lynnwood Police Department recently finished its 28th Citizen Academy with 45 new graduates. The annual 14-week course familiarizes community members with common police procedures, activities and investigative techniques. The goal is to teach attendees about all phases of law enforcement.
Eight of the graduates have continued through to the interview process to become volunteers of the Lynnwood PD Citizens Patrol, Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS) and Car Seat Technicians.
