Lynnwood police investigating early-morning stabbing

Lynnwood police are investigating the stabbing death of a 33 year-old Lynnwood man.

Police were called to an assault with a weapon incident just after midnight Thursday, Aug. 8 in the 5400 block of 204th Street Southwest in Lynnwood, said police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions.

Witnesses say the suspect, a 35-year-old Snohomish County-area man, stabbed the victim in a house there and fled the area on a bicycle. Police cordoned off the area and located and arrested the suspect about 12 blocks away from the murder scene. He has been booked into Jail for investigation of homicide.

Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses who were in the house at the time of the crime. The victim and the suspect didn’t live in the home where the crime was committed. While the two were known to each other, the nature of why they were having a disagreement is still under investigation.
