Lynnwood Police Chief Steve Jensen has announced the promotion of Officer Cole Langdon to Sergeant of Police and Custody Officers Mike McGinnis and Dan Snow to Detention Division Sergeants.
“I am extremely pleased to announce these promotions. All of these individuals represent the Lynnwood Police Department’s effort to deliver excellent law enforcement services to our citizens,” Jensen said. “They have dedicated themselves to the development of not only their own expertise and leadership skills but also served to advance the progress of the police department. Each of them will have a positive impact in leading the department into the future.”
Sgt. Langdon, who is also a master Police K9 trainer and has been with the department for more than 17 years, will supervise a Patrol Squad and continue as one of the department’s four K9 handlers.
Mike McGinnis has been a Custody Officer with Lynnwood’s Municipal Jail for 24 years. Dan Snow, also a Custody Officer with Lynnwood’s Municipal Jail, has been serving there for 15 years.
“We anticipate that they will all serve to initiate and implement new and innovative strategies and methodologies in the delivery of police services,” Jensen said, “I am sure that the department will be all the better due to their future efforts.”
