Lynnwood High School’s Robotics is known regionally and nationally for its prowess in competitions, but they had a strong challenge from the young Edmonds-Woodway team March 7-8 at the PNW Glacier Peak District event.

Lynnwood Team 2522 and EWHS Team 4077 both won their quarterfinal matches and faced each other in the semifinals. Lynnwood went on to take second place in the competition and Edmonds-Woodway garnered third.

LHS Team 2522 won the Chairman’s Award which is the highest honor and recognizes teams that have been high performers over several seasons and who share their love of STEM with others. The Chairman’s award automatically qualifies the Lynnwood High team to advance to the Pacific Northwest Regional event in Portland April 3-5. LHS Team 2522 will also be competing March 14-15 at the PNW Mt. Vernon event with Mountlake Terrace High Team 1778. EWHS Team 4077 won the Judges’ Award to recognize the strong team that has been built over the past 3 years.  A field of 32 high school FIRST Robotics teams participated in the event.
