Lynnwood Rotary to hear program on Rotarian Malaria Partners on Thursday, April 12

Lynnwood Rotary’s program during its regular meeting on Thursday, April 12 will be a discussion of the Rotarian Malaria Partners.

The Rotarian Malaria Partners are a group of Rotarians and leaders of non-government organizations who are committed to foment a broad international Rotarian campaign for the global elimination of malaria. The Partners believe that malaria can be combated through a comprehensive Rotarian campaign similar to Rotary’s successful Polio Plus campaign. Focus countries are Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

The program will be presented by long-time local Rotarians Bill and Karen Feldt. Bill is the retired President/CEO of Flohr Metal Fabricators. Hear about their efforts, and those of other Rotarians, to fight malaria.

The meeting on April 12 will be held at Gateway Hall, 6600 196th St. S.W. at noon.
