Do you love to hike? Try a trip to the mountains on one of the Lynnwood Senior Center’s day hikes.
The Stevens Pass Chairlift and Hike will be from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, July 27 (Course #47016).
Get a bird’s eye view as you ride the chairlift to the top of the Steven’s Pass Ski Area. Enjoy the wildflowers as you leisurely wind your way through meadows. If you’re lucky, you might catch a peek of resident marmots basking in the sun. There will be a stop at Deception Falls on the way home. $44 registration fee includes transportation and chairlift pass. Plan to hike 3 miles round trip with 1,000 foot elevation loss.
The Crystal Mountain Gondola Hike will be from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10 (Course #47009).
Take a ride to the top of the world in the Gondola. Enjoy your sack lunch surrounded by all the mountain ranges in Puget Sound with an up close view of Mount Rainier. After lunch, spend some time hiking around the ski area and ride the Gondola back to base. $48 registration fee includes transportation and Gondola ride. Plan to hike 2 miles round trip with a 300 foot elevation gain.
