Lynnwood students attend Washington Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Conference

Six Lynnwood students and their club adviser attended the 2013 Washington Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference in Wenatchee.

Senior Allison Holbrook participated in the Job Interview event and received the highest honor (Gold) and placed first in the event statewide. She will represent Washington State at the FCCLA National Competition in Nashville this July; Jordan Chase, also a senior, presented in the Illustrated Talk event and received honorable mention (Silver); Sewit Kidane, a junior, presented in the Career Investigation event and received a Bronze award for her excellent efforts; Katrina Stevens, a senior, served as a Student Evaluator; Dayne Daylong, a senior, served as a Room Consultant, and Kimiam Waters, a freshman, served as a Timer for varying STAR Events.

Lynnwood FCCLA adviser, FACSE instructor Molly McFadden, also served as an Adult Evaluator. The Lynnwood FCCLA club also received several recognition ribbons for their participation in a variety of community service and club leadership events this past school year.
