Lynnwood Target store closed due to fire

The Lynnwood Target store has been closed due to a fire that occurred Saturday night.

At 7:42 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, the Lynnwood Fire Department responded to an alarm at the store, located at 18305 Alderwood Mall Pkwy. Upon arrival, firefighters determined that there was a fire in the stockroom. Fire personnel extinguished the fire.

Target employees and customers were safely evacuated, a company spokesperson said. Lynnwood Fire Department personnel maintained control of the building until 11 a.m. Sunday when the building was released to the company.

The store was not open on Sunday and the company did not indicate when the store will reopen.

The Lynnwood Fire Department has not determined the cause of the fire as of Sunday afternoon.
