Lynnwood Target store open following fire

The Lynnwood Target store reopened on Monday, Sept. 23 after being closed on Sunday due to a fire.

At 7:42 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, the Lynnwood Fire Department responded to an alarm at the store, located at 18305 Alderwood Mall Pkwy. Upon arrival, firefighters determined that there was a fire and extinguished the fire.Target employees and customers were safely evacuated. The origin of the fire has been determined to be a janitor’s closet.

“It’s under investigation,” said Lynnwood Fire Marshal Larry Hadland. “The cause is undetermined and suspicious at this time.”
