Lynnwood University still accepting registrations

Lynnwood University LogoRegistration is underway for Lynnwood University, an 8-week course offered to Lynnwood residents free of charge.

The goal of Lynnwood University is to increase awareness about how your local government works and to empower you to better access city programs and services in a fun and interactive way. Demonstrations, tours and hands-on activities are presented to you by City staff, Council Members and the Mayor.

No matter if you are new to Lynnwood or have lived here all your life, are a student, a retiree, a business owner, or anyone in between, you likely will learning something in the classes. 

Space fills up quickly, and there is no charge for this program.

Class highlights include:

Try on firefiighting gear and climb the 100 foot fire ladder.

Learn how to solve a criminal case and come face-to-face with a police K-9.

Tour the city’s award-winning Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Find out how lumber and eggs sparked Lynnwood’s development.

Classes are Thursdays Sept 5 – Oct 24, 6-8:30 p.m. at various city locations.
