Lynnwood woman injured in three-car accident allegedly caused by impaired driver

A 34-year-old Bothell woman was allegedly driving under the influence when she was involved in a three-car accident on State Route 525 in Lynnwood on Thursday, July 2, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The woman was driving southbound on the SR 525 on-ramp from Highway 99 around 6 p.m. when she lost control of her Honda Accord and collided with a Toyota Tacoma truck driving by a 52-year-old Bothell man. The Honda Accord then went over the median and collided head-on with a Mercedes Benz car in the northbound lanes of SR525.

The Mercedes Benz car was driven by a 61-year-old Lynnwood woman, who was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The Bothell woman also was injured in the crash and transported to a hospital.
