Investigators believe yesterday’s fire that caused more than $350,000 damage to a house in unincorprated Lynnwood was arson. They also say some valuable items were stolen from the home before the fire was set.
The homeowner, an elderly man, was at work when the fire was reported.
The two-story house in the 14400 block of Madison Way is at the end of the long driveway. Neighbors and passersby reported the fire about 11:20 a.m.
The fire left the house uninhabitable and the homeowner did not have insurance. He will be staying with family members.
Anyone with information that might help in the arson investigation should call the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office at 425-388-3557.
