The Washington Huskies defeated the Washington State Cougars in the Apple Cup this past weekend, and for one Cougar fan it meant a very long and tiring commute to Lynnwood.
Eric Carr bet his co-worker at Kotis Design, Husky fan Greg Ehrlich, that the Cougars would prevail on Saturday. The Huskies won 35 to 28, so on Tuesday morning Eric made good on the bet — walking more than 14 miles from his home in Belltown to his Lynnwood office.
“The hardest part of the trip would be the sheer length of time walking in cold, wet, early a.m. conditions. I had a great time following the story while walking and some co-workers at Kotis Design came which helped a ton,” Eric told us.
Making the whole thing a bit more humiliating, Eric had to carry a Husky flag the entire way. The wet and cold journey took about five hours.
