A fire destroyed a home north of Lynnwood early this morning, just as the family was rebuilding from another fire in November.

The following details are from KIRO TV:

The owner of the home in the 14700 block of Manor Way, Michael Fletcher, is a foster parent of three girls. Fletcher said that after the last fire in November, he was having the home rebuilt with a wheelchair-accessible first floor because his father is in a wheelchair.

Fletcher said they were going to paint the inside of the house and were going to move back to the home in about two weeks, but he got a call from his neighbors telling him the bad news.

Firefighters were called to the scene at about 5:30 a.m. to find the home fully involved in flames. Smoke could be seen for miles and the back of the house was destroyed.

Fire investigators are still looking for the cause. It’s believed the fire in November was caused by a stove top burner that was accidentally left on.
