Update: Many stores open on Thanksgiving

my newsIf you need to pick up something from the grocery story, you’ll should plan on going early on Thanksgiving as many of the major grocery chains have shorter hours than usual.

The exceptions are: Walmart (1400 164th St. SW.) is open 24 hours, though its Thanksgiving Day specials start at 6 and 8 p.m. Walmart Neighborhood Market (17222 Highway 99) is open 5 a.m.-midnight. Safeway (19715 Highway 99, 14826 Highway 99) will be open regular hours (5 a.m.-1 a.m.) as will H Mart (3301 184th St. SW.) from 8 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

Fred Meyer (4615 196th St. SW., 2902 164th St. SW.) is open from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Albertson’s (19500 Highway 99) will be open from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. and Whole Foods (2800 196th St. SW.) will be open 7 a.m.- 4 p.m.

As for department stores, Target (18305 Alderwood Mall Pkwy.) and Kohl’s (18405 Alderwood Mall Pkwy.) will be open at 6 p.m. JC Penney at Alderwood Mall (3000 184th St. SW) is open at 5 p.m. and Sears at Alderwood Mall (3000 184th St. SW) will be open at 6 p.m.

Best Buy (19225 Alderwood Mall Pkwy.) is open at from 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Toys R Us (18601 Alderwood Mall Blvd.) will be open a t5 p.m. Old Navy (19401 Alderwood Mall Pkwy) is at 4 p.m.. Staples (3011 196th St. SW) is open from 6-10 p.m. Michael’s (3115 Alderwood Mall Prky) is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Sports Authority (19800 44th Ave. W) will be open at 6 p.m. Big Lots (5710 196th St SW) is open from 7 a.m.-midnight.Office Depot (19719 Highway 99) opens at 6 p.m. 
 
 
Finally, many Starbucks, McDonald’s, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Radio Shack locations will be open, though hours may vary.
