A man was shot in the knee late last night at the Martha Lake Community Club (near 164th and I-5). It happened around 11:45 p.m., shortly after the man and his friends were turned away from a party there.

After being turned away at the door the three men started talking to a young woman in the parking lot. Two vehicles then pulled into the parking lot and words were exchanged about the woman. After leaving the parking lot, someone in one of the vehicles fired shots at the three men.

The 23-year-old man from Edmonds was shot in the knee. His injury is not life-threatening.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives spoke to several people but so far no arrests have been made.
