The Fair on 44th – Lynnwood’s Health & Safety Community Block Party is back by popular demand, and I sincerely hope that you’ll join us!
On Saturday, Sept. 9, we’ll be closing 44th Avenue West from the Fire Station to the Police Station and filling the road with lots of vehicles to explore, demonstrations to enjoy, and lots of fun activities.
There will be an extensive display of police, fire, public works, and other large vehicles for kids to explore. You can check out a demonstration from the Lynnwood Fire Department on how to safely extinguish a grease fire, see the always popular Police K-9’s and watch Motorcycle Officers demonstrate their skills, and participate in a fun fitness demo by our Parks & Rec Staff.
There will be lots of important health information from a variety of healthcare and fitness partners. Families can play games, make crafts and other free activities, and be sure your kids test their skills in the bicycle rodeo and take home a free bike helmet.
And be sure to grab lunch or a tasty treat from one of our food vendors.
The ultimate goal of the Fair on 44th is two-fold: we hope to educate you on the important services provided to by City staff and our partners, and provide you with a low-cost and fun, engaging event fit for the whole family! I’ll be roaming the Fair in my bright orange safety vest. Please stop and say hello!
