Meadowdale took a 1-point point lead into halftime but then struggled in the second half and ended losing 43-31 to Bothell in a non-conference girls basketball game Monday night at Meadowdale High School.
The Mavericks led 22-20 at the end of the second quarter before the Cougars rallied to take a 30-25 third quarter lead. Jaclyn Barhoum scored a team-high 10 points for the Mavericks, who fell to 2-5 overall. Bothell improved to 5-3.
Meadowdale is scheduled to play three games at the Rebel Challenge at Juanita High School. The Mavericks face Holy Names Academy at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 27; Roosevelt at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28; and W.F. West at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30.
