Meadowdale grad named MVP of Southland Conference softball tournament

Meadowdale graduate Kylee Studioso, a Central Arkansas pitcher, was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2015 Southland Conference softball tournament last week.

Studioso helped lead Central Arkansas to its first-ever Southland Conference championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament. Studioso pitched 29 innings, striking out 20 batters and allowing only two earned runs. She pitched two shutouts, three complete games and had an ERA of 0.48. Central Arkansas beat Northwestern State 4-2 in the title game.

The Bears lost 8-0 to Oklahoma in their NCAA opener on Friday and were scheduled to face Lehigh on Saturday.
