Meadowdale HS students honored in Black & White photo contest

Edmonds-Woodway 9th grader Jade Carle won 2nd place in the 9th/10th grade category for “Wisdom,” taken on a class trip to Pike Place Market with teacher Tiffany Davis.

Local high school students were among the winners in the 2016 Black & White Photography Contest sponsored by the Schack Art Center in Everett.

The center received more than 180 entries for the contest, which was open to all Snohomish County high school students, grades 9-12. Photographs were judged in two categories, Grades 9-10 and Grades 11-12.

Award winners were honored for their achievement at the Spring Teen Night in March at the Schack Art Center. An exhibit of all the entries is on display in the Emerging Young Artists’ Gallery at the Schack Art Center through April 17.
