Another frozen yogurt shop coming to town

Earlier this week we announced that a new frozen yogurt shop named Menchie’s will be opening in north Lynnwood. It turns out another one is coming to the south end of town (technically in Mountlake Terrace.)

Our friends at MLT News are reporting that Melt Waffle & Frozen Yogurt plans to open this summer:

Melt’s CEO, Eugene Yang, said the company was set to begin construction by June 1st and plans on opening the location in the 44th Avenue Plaza in mid-to-late July.

“We’re very excited about the location,” said Mr. Yang, “because of its location, the high volume of traffic, and our love for the local community.”

The storefront is located between Little Caesars Pizza and Randal Southam Photography Studios and is in the same complex as Urban City Coffee at 44th Avenue West and 212th Street Southwest.

Melt Waffle & Frozen Yogurt takes pride in creating the world’s best freshly-pressed pearl sugar waffles which come hot out of the iron and are topped with a number of freshly prepared toppings including frozen yogurt.

The company plans to employ ten or more full time staff and will be active in supporting community groups which promote health, safety, education, and family fun. 10% of the company’s profits in its first quarter will be donated to the DECA Clubs at Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, and Edmonds-Woodway High Schools.
