Walls at the new Rec Center will open to the outside

NanaWalls have recently been installed at the new Lynnwood Rec Center.

What’s a NanaWall? It’s essentially a glass wall that can be opened to the outside when the weather is nice.

Two of them have been installed. One will open to the patio area outside the lap pool and the other will open to the playground outside the water slide pool.

When the weather is cooler, the NaNaWalls will be closed but will still allow natural light to flow into the pool areas.

The new Rec Center is still on track to open this April. Some of the remaining work includes installing the racquetball court, dance-fitness wood floor, sauna, playground equipment and public art sculptures.

  1. Due to the budget mess I think that the project should be scaled back to eliminate the walls, and the roof too. Just throw up a large tent.
